Power Conference (W)

New this season, the Grind Session Power Conference is the premier tier of The Grind Session for women, an elite winter circuit for top prep and high school basketball programs. This invitation-only division includes 11 of the best teams from the United States and Canada. Teams earn their spots through direct invitations. Once in, they compete in showcase events across North America from November through March, with results tracked in a national standings table.

The season will culminate in a postseason championship run staged in mid-March. These events draw national scouting attention and have helped launch numerous NCAA and WNBA careers. Fans can watch matchups on Tanager Sports TV, as well as at in-person showcases hosted at various high-profile venues.

Q & A with Kamora Moore

Kamora Moore is a sophomore point guard for the women’s team at Hamilton Heights. She is currently rehabbing a knee injury. I sat down recently with MoMo for a short Q&A.

Royal Crown Women Win Again

Legion Prep's Jacy Abii outscored everyone but Royal Crown's collective efficiency won out — Salgado and Musa were nearly unstoppable inside, and Chance Berry's sheer volume carried RC over the line. Legion shot better from 3 (6/19 vs 3/19) and had more assists (13 vs 7), but Royal Crown's dominance on the offensive glass (18 OReb vs 14) and free throw line (12/18 vs 8/11) made the difference.
