Nolan Catholic High School | Fort Worth, Texas

The opening day of Grind Session Dallas delivered a full slate of competitive matchups at Nolan Catholic High School, featuring international talent, nationally ranked prospects, and statement performances across both the boys’ and girls’ divisions. From a strong showing by a Florida powerhouse to a dominant women’s performance from Oklahoma, Day 1 set the tone for a high-level weekend in Fort Worth.

Zephyrhills Christian (FL) 78, Star Alliance (Italy) 63

The day tipped off with an international matchup as Zephyrhills Christian took control early and never relinquished the lead against Star Alliance from Italy. Zephyrhills’ balanced scoring attack proved too much over four quarters.

Yale Davis led the way with a game-high 24 points, while five-star forward Toni Bryant continued to show why he is one of the nation’s elite prospects, posting a dominant double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Alexander Davis and Ethan Know added valuable secondary scoring with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Star Alliance was led by Ricards Aizpurs, who finished with 19 points in the loss. Brian Angeletti and Fallou Sow chipped in 15 and 13 points, but the Italian side could not overcome Zephyrhills’ depth and physicality.

Grind Prep (OK) 71, Life Prep 40

The lone women’s game of the day saw Grind Prep put on a commanding performance, rolling past Life Prep in a runaway victory. Grind Prep set the tempo early with defensive pressure and efficient scoring, building a decisive halftime lead.
