Media Guidelines

We’re excited that you’re attending our Grind Session event. Below are simple guidelines and conditions to help ensure a positive experience. 

Access

Credentials will be available starting 45 minutes prior to the start of the first game. Pick-up will close at the start of the day’s final game. Personal ID is required at media check-in. Credentials must be worn at all times. Approved media personnel will be granted FREE admission and allowed in special area(s). Interviews will only be allowed in designated area(s) at designated times. 

Video & Photo

All media rights to the event are owned by Tanager Productions, LLC (Tanager Sports) and NextMax, Inc. (Grind Session). Videos and photos from any other entity is not allowed without express written approval by Tanager Sports and the Grind Session. Regardless, Tanager Sports and the Grind Session retain copyrights to any pictures or video taken at the event and copies must be made available. 

Requirements for videos

  1. Continuous recording of the game is NOT allowed.
  2. Total length of game footage can be no greater than five (5) minutes.
  3. Credits to the Grind Session and Tanager Sports must be given using the attached logos for at least four (4) seconds OR the logos must be shown continuously throughout the event footage in the bottom center of the video independent of any other watermarks or logos. When posting to social media, the following must be tagged: • @therealgrindsession (Instagram) • @tanagersports (Instagram) • @thegrindsession (X) • The Grind Session (Facebook)
  4. Every effort must be made to publicize the full event schedule – via social media, website, etc. – prior to the event. Still pictures are allowed but must also include the attached logos and above tags. Under NO circumstances are NFT’s allowed without the express written consent of the Grind Session and Tanager Sports. 

Failure to abide by the above requirements and expectations will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to legal action and exclusion from any future Grind Session events.

Grind Session

The Grind Session

The Grind Session is the first-ever winter circuit of elite high school basketball events. In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. From November to March over 300 action-packed games will be played. The Grind Session is more than just great games: it's an opportunity to prepare for the next chapter of your basketball career.
