Q: It’s been a couple weeks since you guys (LaCore Elite Academy) went 5-0 to win the Grind Session Power Play In tournament in Kentucky, how are you and your teammates feeling knowing you guys will be playing in the Grind Session Power Conference?
A: We are excited and we know we can compete with any team in the nation.
Q: Your team had a lot of outstanding individual performances in Bowling Green, none better then the game where you had a triple double (18 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists), tell me about that game.
A: I just gotta give credit to my teammates finding me when I’m open and making shots, without them the triple double wouldn’t be possible.
Q: Knowing what you do about the Grind Session, what are your expectations for the team in your first year of competition?
A: My expectations are to win even tho it’s our first year I feel confident in my teammates and coaches abilities.
Q: Are you looking forward to any individual matchups with any particular players on the Grind?
A: Yes, I’m looking for to Beckham Black (Southeastern Prep) for sure but whoever is in front of me I’m gonna compete no matter what.
Q: As a junior point guard, what do you see as your role on your team?
A: I see my role on this team as the glue guy, do all the little things, make shots get my teammates involved, hustle for loose balls and anything they need me to do.
Q: What’s your go to pre game meal before a big contest? What musical artist are you listening to?
A: My pre game meal would be grilled chicken and a Powerade from Chick-fil-A. The music I listen to before the game would be Rod Wave or Drake.
Q: Favorite pizza topping? Curly fries or regular?
A: My favorite pizza topping is pepperoni, and for the fries, I would rather have curly fries.
Q: Time travel, back in time or years into the future?
A: I would time travel back in time just to see the worlds greatest unlocked mysteries.
