As the season comes closer to an end, I am grateful for the opportunity to compete in post season play with my team. Lately, I find myself reflecting on both the highs and the lows of my senior year. While my team and I have achieved much success, we have also experienced our fair share of adversity. I always have to remind myself that during the lowest moments come the greatest opportunities for growth and development.
Graduation is coming and all of my senior teammates and I will go on to play in college. My 4 years of high school went by quickly - I am grateful for all of the wonderful moments and achievements with my team and coaches. I am thankful for the many sacrifices my family made to help me become the best person and player possible. It has been a privilege to be surrounded by an extremely talented group of girls that come from such diverse backgrounds. Basketball brought us together and it’s what keeps us going. I have made life-long friends at DME Academy. It’s important that we take in every moment and enjoy the process as we go into Championship Weekend. Now is the time for us to shine together on the big stage. I will play each game like it’s my last, enjoy each practice, film session, weight training session, sprint training, ice baths...all of it! This moment is special and we have some personal business to take care of because in the blink of an eye this chapter will be over. We do not want any regrets!
