New this season, the Grind Session Power Conference is the premier tier of The Grind Session for women, an elite winter circuit for top prep and high school basketball programs. This invitation-only division includes 11 of the best teams from the United States and Canada. Teams earn their spots through direct invitations. Once in, they compete in showcase events across North America from November through March, with results tracked in a national standings table.
The season will culminate in a postseason championship run staged in mid-March. These events draw national scouting attention and have helped launch numerous NCAA and WNBA careers. Fans can watch matchups on Tanager Sports TV, as well as at in-person showcases hosted at various high-profile venues.

Portia Reisen of Fort Erie International Academy to Represent Canada at 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup
The Grind Session is proud to announce that Portia Reisen, a sophomore guard from Fort Erie International Academy, has been selected as one of 12 athletes to represent Canada at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup.
Featuring top young talent from across the Americas, the ninth edition of the tournament will take place this week (June 16-22) in Irapuato, Mexico.
