This week’s Grind Session Spotlight Athlete shines on one of the most complete and accomplished prospects in high school basketball: Caleb Holt of Prolific Prep (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Before hearing directly from Holt in the exclusive video interview following this feature, it is worth understanding the journey that has shaped one of the nation’s elite players.

Born on November 26, 2007, Holt’s path to the national spotlight began early in New Market, Alabama. His talent was evident long before high school, and as an eighth grader at Buckhorn Middle School, Holt earned a rare varsity starting role at Buckhorn High School, where he averaged 16 points and 8.5 rebounds per game against older competition.

Six Power Conference programs anchor the field: Prolific Prep, Academy of Central Florida, Huntington Expression, Hamilton Heights, Winston-Salem Christian, and DNA Prep, with Florida Coastal Prep serving as the lone Elevation Conference representative.
