Grind Session newcomer Caleb Holt had another impressive performance at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup on Wednesday. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who recently transferred to Prolific Prep for his senior season, was dominant on both ends, helping lead Team USA to a convincing 140-67 Round of 16 win over Jordan.
Holt scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and notched four steals in the victory. He also dished out five assists and logged a team high 25 minutes in the game.
The Prolific Prep star has had his two best performances of the tournament in Team USA's last two games. Tuesday, Holt scored 18 points, collected eight rebounds, and had three steals in a 129-70 win over Cameroon.
Through four games, Holt is averaging 10.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
Team USA is a perfect 4-0 in World Cup play.
“Watching Caleb at the FIBA U19 World Cup has been nothing short of thrilling,” said Grind Session co-founder and CEO Scott Waldrop. “He stepped onto the global stage with relentless energy, elite competitiveness, and a complete all‑around game—impacting on both ends, leading the charge, and carrying himself like a seasoned pro. We can’t wait for him to hit the Grind Session courts next season and electrify our crowds.”
A consensus five-star and Top 10 prospect in the Class of 2026, Holt recently announced his commitment to play his senior season under Coach Ryan Bernardi and Prolific Prep, who just relocated to Fort Lauderdale after spending the past 11 years in Napa, California. Last season, Prolific Prep won their third consecutive Grind Session World Championship and fourth title in six years. They also reached the Chipotle Nationals for the third consecutive season.
While Holt hasn’t announced finalists for his college basketball favorites, he has his choice of the nation’s top programs—boasting more than 20 scholarship offers from the likes of Houston, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, UConn, and more.
In May, he signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Adidas. According to Adidas, the partnership is designed to propel student-athletes like Holt to success on and off the court, building on the legacy of the brand’s 3SSB platform and the broader adidas Basketball ecosystem.
Holt made a quick splash with his new NIL company by earning MVP honors and leading his team to the championship at the Adidas Hoops Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy in June. He averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3.5 steals in the select camp in front of numerous NBA scouts.
