Day 2 of the first-ever all-women’s Grind Session event delivered drama, star performances, and wire-to-wire competitiveness from start to finish. Five games filled Tuesday’s slate at DME Academy, and each matchup brought its own storylines and standout moments. Here’s how the action unfolded.
Game 1: Example Academy 80, Bella Vista Prep 58
Example Academy opened the day with a commanding win over Bella Vista Prep, using size, rebounding, and depth to control the matchup from the first quarter onward.
Chynna Maxey set the tone inside, posting a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Shania James lit up the scoreboard with 19 points. The balanced attack continued with Marlee-Michele Coleman (16 points) and Morgan Baptist (11 points) contributing steady scoring.

Game 2: Ft Erie (Canada) 72, Grind Prep 68

Hamilton Heights was led by two huge scoring efforts: Kamora Moore (25 points) and Binetou Diop (24 points).
Game 5: DME Academy 66, Legion Prep 46
The nightcap featured two elite programs—both ranked in the ESPN Top 25—and the matchup lived up to the billing early before DME Academy pulled away late.
DME stormed out to a 10–3 advantage and led 18–9 after one behind stifling defense. Legion Prep, led by Notre Dame commit Jacy Abii, clawed back in the second quarter, tightening things to 28–20 at halftime.
But the fourth quarter belonged to DME.

Five-star center Sara Okeke added a strong 15-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Timani Harris chipped in 11 points.
DME outscored Legion Prep 21–10 in the fourth, showing depth, conditioning, and relentless defensive energy.
Legion Prep was led by Jemini Mitchell (16 points) and Jacy Abii (14 points), while Hayden Hearst controlled the glass with 12 rebounds.
With ESPN’s weekly rankings arriving soon, the win could boost DME’s national profile. The question now becomes:
