Champaign, Illinois will sit squarely at the center of the national high school basketball universe next weekend (January 30-February 1) when the Grind Session tips off its latest three-day showcase at Parkland College.

Headlining the action is national powerhouse Prolific Prep, currently ranked No. 3 in the country by ESPN. The Florida-based program is stacked with elite talent, led by five-star seniors and prospective 2027 NBA Draft lottery picks Caleb Holt and Bruce Branch III. Prolific Prep’s roster also features Nasir Anderson, the No.1 point guard and one of the most highly touted recruits in the Class of 2027.
Prolific Prep is one of nine teams from five states and Canada set to compete in Champaign.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the Grind Session to Champaign,” said Grind Session co-founder and CEO Scott Waldrop. “This community is going to experience the Grind Session at its best—elite competition, high-level coaching, and some of the top high school players in the country all under one roof. Hosting this showcase at Parkland College allows us to continue growing the game while giving fans, coaches, and scouts a first-hand look at the future of basketball.”
Admission is $15 per day, and children aged 6 and under are free.
