The third and final day of Grind Session Toronto delivered a full slate of action—five games showcasing explosive scoring performances, dominant rebounding efforts, and competitive energy from start to finish. Here’s how Championship Sunday unfolded at the Pan Am Centre.
Game 1: Albuquerque Prep 84, Orangeville Prep 69
Albuquerque Prep set the tone early and never looked back, powering to an 84–69 victory behind a monster outing from DJ Smith, who poured in 31 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Smith controlled the game on both ends, while teammates Caden Miller (19 points) and Jayonnii Durrogh (18 points) provided steady scoring support.

SirMister Harriel added 11 points to round out a balanced offensive attack.
Orangeville Prep was led by Bami Olusakin, who battled all afternoon and finished with 20 points and 7 boards. Despite his strong effort, ABC Prep’s tempo and physicality kept Orangeville chasing the game wire-to-wire.
Game 2: Royal Crown (Women) 116, Albuquerque Prep 31
Royal Crown put on a dominant display on the women’s side, overwhelming Albuquerque Prep from the opening possession in a 116–31 runaway win.

Chance Berry led the charge with 22 points, while four more Royal Crown players reached double figures:
- Akeila Bailey – 14 points
- Beata Musa – 14 points
- Ailey Marshall – 13 points
- Emma Pouliot-Guy – 13 points
- Shekinah Bonney – 13 points
Royal Crown owned the glass with a 36–14 rebounding advantage, using second-chance points and defensive pressure to put the game away early.
Game 3: Ft. Erie (Women) 78, Example Academy 61
Ft. Erie’s women’s team continued their strong play with a 78–61 victory over Chicago’s Example Academy.
The star of the game was Amelia Sow, who delivered a powerful 25-point, 12-rebound double-double, dominating the interior all afternoon.

Sophomore guard Portia Reisen added 15 points, giving Ft. Erie the scoring balance they needed.
The Canadian squad also controlled the boards, winning the rebounding battle 55–40.
Example Academy had three players put up 11 points each—Marlee-Michelle Coleman, Symora “Moe” Damon, and Tayira Wright—but the collective effort wasn’t enough to match Ft. Erie’s physicality inside.
Game 4: Ft. Erie 65, DNA Prep 45
Ft. Erie made it two wins on the day, this time on the men’s side, taking down DNA Prep 65–45 in a hard-fought contest.
Adam Elaheebucus led Ft. Erie with 15 points, while the Eagles showed impressive balance with three more players scoring in double figures:
- Anthony Ponga – 13 points
- TJ St. Louis – 12 points
- Eli Jolin – 10 points
Ft. Erie also won the battle on the glass 48–38, a key factor in controlling the pace.

DNA Prep fought with heart despite missing three players who were unable to cross the border into Canada. Shameek Casillas and Ari Kamden each scored 10 points, and Jayden Robinson added 7 in the loss.
Game 5: Royal Crown 77, Star Alliance 68
The final matchup of Grind Session Toronto lived up to the moment, with Royal Crown holding off a late Star Alliance surge to claim a 77–68 victory.

Jacob McGregor led Royal Crown with 14 points, but the standout performance belonged to Caleb Zhu, who posted a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double. Royal Crown separated in the second quarter and maintained control until Star Alliance mounted a final push, cutting the lead to two in the closing minutes.
Star Alliance was powered by Brian Angeletti, who scored 22 points, while Rafael Stable Terry (12 points) and Ricards Aizpurs (11 points) kept the Italians within striking distance.
Royal Crown’s poise down the stretch sealed the final win of the weekend.
