Final Day Recap – Grind Session Florida Closes Strong in Boca Raton

The DME Women put up 174 points in two wins this weekend in Boca Raton.

The final day of Grind Session Boca Raton featured only three games on the schedule, but the action was packed with intensity, standout individual performances, and a strong showing from Florida programs. Four of the six teams competing on Sunday call Florida home, and the crowd at Boca Raton’s beautiful facility was treated to a fast-moving, high-energy finale.

Game 1: DME Academy 89, DNA Prep 55

DME Sports Academy set the tone early, exploding for 27 points in the first quarter and never looking back. Their balanced scoring and relentless pace overwhelmed DNA Prep, showcasing why DME continues to climb the ranks in the Power Conference.

Ryan Hampton delivered one of his best performances of the season, dropping 25 points with efficiency and poise. Yohane Kabongo was equally impressive, attacking the rim and finishing with 18 points.
DME also got strong production from Chrinovic Kitenge and Nathan Kirk, who each chipped in 12 points.

From deep, DME made their presence felt, knocking down eight three-pointers to stretch the floor and break open the game.

DNA Prep’s bright spot was sophomore standout Jayden Robinson, who once again showed why he’s one of the circuit’s top young guards. He tallied 21 points, attacking from all three levels despite the loss.

Game 2: Zephyrhills Christian 76, Huntington Expression 62

The second and final boys’ matchup of the weekend featured a tough, physical battle between Zephyrhills Christian and Huntington Expression—but Zephyrhills’ star power ultimately proved too much.

Five-star senior Toni Bryant delivered another dominant outing, putting up 26 points and 8 rebounds. His versatility on both ends of the court continues to make him one of the most unstoppable players in the Power Conference.

Yale Davis added 13 points, Alexander Davis scored 11, and Ethan Knox contributed 10 as Zephyrhills showcased its depth in its debut season on the Grind Session’s highest stage.

Huntington was led by Koang Bol Kuany, who battled all afternoon and finished with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
Taj Saragba added 10 points, but Huntington couldn’t close the gap as Zephyrhills won a tight rebounding battle 44–38 and controlled the second half.

Final Game: DME Academy 91, Academy of Central Florida 45  (Women)

The weekend wrapped with a womens’ Power Conference matchup, and DME Sports Academy delivered a statement from the opening tip, racing out to 24 first-quarter points and maintaining total control throughout a 91–45 win.

Timani Harris put in 19 points in the win today.

Timani Harris led DME with 19 points, attacking the lane and scoring in transition.
Sara Okeke put together a strong double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, dominating the paint.
Gigi Battle, fresh off her commitment to Indiana and one of the top guards in the country, added 16 points, while Trinity Boone rounded out the scoring punch with 12.

Academy of Central Florida was led by Gabriela Bernal, who battled from start to finish and posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double of her own.

Up Next on the Grind Session Circuit

The Grind Session heads to Atlanta next weekend, followed by the first Women’s-only event of the season in Daytona Beach, scheduled for November 24–26.
