Seven Grind Session Standouts Named to 6th Annual Ball Dawg All-Star Game

Ball Dawgs All Star Game

The Grind Session is proud to announce that seven of its outgoing seniors have been selected to participate in the 6th Annual Ball Dawgs All-Star Game, set to take place in Las Vegas on May 10, 2025. Representing both the boys and girls divisions, their selections are a major milestone in their basketball journeys and a point of pride for the Grind Session community.

The prestigious showcase brings together some of the nation’s top high school seniors, offering a major platform for them to elevate their profiles before the next stage of their careers. Hosted by Ball Dawgs, a media and events platform focused on grassroots high school basketball talent, the event is played in front of scouts, media, and fans from across the country and serves as a launchpad for many of tomorrow’s college and professional stars.

Boys Division Selections

Fawaz “Tacko” Ifaola

A 6'11", 235-pound center from Lagos, Nigeria, Ifaola played his final two high school seasons for Dream City Christian in Glendale, Arizona. His size and defensive capabilities played a significant role in his recruitment, garnering him offers from several prominent programs, including Colorado, Villanova, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, SMU, St. John's, and Utah. He committed to the Colorado Buffaloes in October.

Mazi Mosley

Known for his scoring prowess and defensive capabilities, the 6'5", 175-pound shooting guard played his senior year at Prolific Prep in Napa, California. The nephew of NBA legend Magic Johnson, Mosely committed to LSU over offers from programs like Michigan, Iowa, and USC.

Zak Abdalla

The 6’2” guard wrapped up his high school career with SFBA Trinity Prep, where his scoring ability, particularly in clutch moments, and his versatility in the backcourt was on full display. Abdalla is committed to the University of Detroit Mercy.

Xaviel Rodriguez

Standing at 6’5” and weighing 205 pounds, Rodriguez played three years in the Grind Session, first with SFBA Trinity Prep as a sophomore and then with Denver, Colorado’s Accelerated Prep during his junior and senior campaigns. He has received multiple scholarship offers but is still uncommitted.

Girls Division Selections

Bella Hines

A Top 50 recruit whose game is characterized by exceptional scoring ability and deep shooting range, Hines finished her high school career at Albuquerque Prep. The 5’10” point guard and 2025 McDonald’s All-American nominee is committed to Kim Mulkey's LSU Tigers.

Maya Foz

Widely recognized for her innate toughness, competitive drive, and ability to stuff the stat sheet on both ends, Foz was a staple in the Fort Erie International lineup over the last three years. She is committed to Bradley women's basketball and will join the Braves for the 2025-26 season.

Alexiz Graise

Standing at 6 feet tall, Graise is 2025 McDonald’s All-American nominee who played her junior and senior seasons at AZ Compass Prep. She is taking her talents to Fresno State in the fall.

Three former Grind Session players will also participate in this year’s Ball Dawgs All Star Game. Viex Sanneh, who previously played for DNA Prep has been named to the boys game roster. The girls game roster will include former Bella Vista Prep and PHHoenix Prep standouts, Destiny Lunan and Olivia Owens, respectively.

“We are incredibly proud of these young athletes and what they represent. Being selected for the Ball Dawgs All-Star Game is not only a recognition of their talent but also of the relentless work they’ve put in all season long,” said Grind Session co-founder and CEO Scott Waldrup. “Their selection also speaks volumes about the caliber of athletes the Grind Session continues to produce.”
