Arizona Compass Prep participates in the CAA (Charter Athletic Association) and practices daily as a part of the standard school day. Students are taught sports skills, lifetime fitness, and cooperative learning concepts. These are the tools students will need to lead a physically active lifestyle. Students will have an opportunity not only to practice during the school day but compete in games as well. Games and extra practices may require an additional time commitment from students.

TyTy Washington Jr., a proud alumnus of AZ Compass Prep and the Grind Session, continues to carve his path toward NBA success with determination and flair. As the floor general for AZ Compass Prep, TyTy led his squad to the Grind Session Championship in his senior season, solidifying his place among the nation’s elite high school prospects. His leadership, playmaking, and clutch performances made him a standout in the Grind Session’s ultra-competitive winter circuit.

2025 NBA Playoffs Feature 15 Grind Session Alumni Chasing the Title

The Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, one of the most coveted awards in American sports, is the culmination of the NBA playoffs. Over the next two months, 16 teams and more than 200 players will battle for the trophy. This year, 15 former Grind Session stars across 10 different teams are among those looking to lift the championship hardware in June. Four of those teams have multiple Grind Session alumni on their postseason rosters, led by a trio of alumni on the Denver Nuggets. The Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Minesota Timberwolves feature two Grind Session products apiece.

Madison Conner made history on Monday night, becoming the first Grind Session player ever selected in the WNBA Draft. The former Arizona Compass Prep star and TCU guard was picked in the third round, 29th overall, by the Seattle Storm.

TyTy Washington Jr., a standout alumnus of The Grind Session, rose to prominence as a highly skilled guard with AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona. Washington's senior season in 2021 was a masterclass in leadership and performance, culminating in AZ Compass Prep defeating BFL Prep from Seattle, Washington, to claim the Grind Session World Championship. That victory cemented Washington's legacy as one of the premier talents in Grind Session history.

The third day of the Grind Session in Phoenix brought thrilling action and standout performances across the board, with teams displaying grit, skill, and teamwork in front of an energetic crowd.

Phoenix Prep claimed a decisive win over AZ Compass, showcasing a dominant offensive display. Leading the charge was Dylan Swindle, who poured in 20 points, including three 3-pointers. Teammates Noelle Mulvanny, Caia Campbell, and Emilie Noerregaard-Laursen contributed significantly with 14, 12, and 16 points, respectively.

In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. From November to March over 400 action-packed games will be played. Grind Session is more than just great games: it's an opportunity to prepare for the next chapter of your basketball career.
