Alpharetta (Georgia) – IX International (GA) delivered a convincing performance this weekend, achieving a flawless 4-0 record at the sixth stop of the Contenders Conference held in Alpharetta, Georgia. 

Teams representing Atlanta, Florida, Arizona, and Chicago participated in the three-day Showcase, competing for the opportunity to qualify for the March Contenders Conference championship. 

IX International (4-0) and Florida Coastal Prep (2-0) led the standings.

Top Matchups

Game #1 – Elite Prep (Arizona) 80 vs. TD Prep (Georgia) 79 

Kur Lual led Elite Prep (AZ) to an exciting 80-79 comeback win over TD Prep, scoring 25 points in this marquee matchup. Elite Prep (1-2) recovered from an 18-point deficit, surpassing TD Prep with a 30-22 scoring run in the last nine minutes to secure the victory. Boie Gomo contributed 23 points for Elite Prep. Thomas McBride led all scorers with 28 points for TD Prep (2-1) while Kannon Hawes finished with 21 points.

Game #2 – Balboa Prep (Florida) 60 vs. Prolific (Florida) 59 

Balboa Prep secured a narrow 60-59 victory over Prolific in Saturday's all-Florida contest. Both teams concluded the weekend with records of 1-1. Balboa Prep took an early 16-12 lead, but Prolific led 34-32 at halftime and 45-41 after three quarters. Balboa then outscored Prolific 19-14 in the final period to win by one point. James Farmer led all scorers for Prolific with 19 points followed by Preston Echols with 13 points. 

Game #3 – IX International (Georgia) 73 vs. SFA Academy (Florida) 68 

Donovan Gaines “Don” delivered an impressive performance with 38 points; however, his efforts were not sufficient as IX International secured a narrow 73-68 victory over SFA Academy. IX International (4-0) demonstrated an impressive performance in the final nine minutes, outscoring SFA 29-18 to secure the win. Grady Kapuanya led all scorers with 18 points for IX International followed by Triston McDonald and Kamiron Jones with 14 points each.
