Junior Grind Session Albuquerque All-Stars

Albuquerque (New Mexico) — Legacy Center was buzzing with basketball Monday as the Grind Session partnered with Albuquerque Prep to host a Duke City camp for ABC Prep’s top high school players.

The June 30th one-day event showcased boys’ players throughout the day before concluding with an All-Star game at Legacy High School.

Led by Paul Murray of the Prolific Prep staff, Corey Wilford, Jr. Grind Session Director, Rob Dye of Junior Grind Session, and ABC Prep coaches, the camp maintained high energy throughout the day.

Players opened the morning with combine-style physical and athletic testing before competing in mini situational games and afternoon 5-on-5 play.

All-Star Game – Grind Orange 97, Grind Black 85

The All-Star game brought early Fourth of July fireworks, delivering excitement throughout the evening.

Class of 2030 guard Jamal “Deuce” Washington scored 26 points to lead Grind Orange to a thrilling 97-85 victory over Grind Black. Malachi Knox added 21 points, while Aiden Mestas and Caden Miller each finished with 12.

Jamal Washington brings athleticism, toughness, and a relentless motor. A hardworking defender, Deuce sets the tone every time he steps on the floor.

Grind Orange jumped out to a 23-17 first-quarter lead and took a 40-32 advantage into halftime. Grind Black rallied late in the third quarter to tie the game at 69, but Orange pulled away for the 12-point win.

Jashon Morinia led Grind Black with 26 points, followed by Drew Bramlett with 21. Eluciano Gonzales and Carlos Madrid each finished with 11.

In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. From November to March over 400 action-packed games will be played. Grind Session is more than just great games: it's an opportunity to prepare for the next chapter of your basketball career.
