Grind Session has officially announced updated eligibility standards beginning with the 2026–27 season to better protect opportunities for true high school student-athletes. These changes reflect the evolving landscape of basketball and Grind Session’s continued commitment to protecting and creating opportunities for elite high school athletes.
Key Rule Changes Effective 2026–27 Season
- Updated Reclassification Policy - Players may reclassify for a 5th year with the eligibility requirements below:
- They have not graduated from high school
- They remain continuously enrolled in an accredited academic program,
- The reclassification is recognized by their institution
- They remain NCAA eligible
- They must not turn 19 years old before July 1 of the academic year in which they are participating
- No Post-Graduate Participation - Players who have graduated from high school cannot participate under any circumstance.
