Prolific Prep vs Dream City in Championship

Prolific Prep defeated Royal Crown of Ontario Canada 95-82 Saturday afternoon in Chicago to advance to the title game of the Grind Session World Championship. The Crew will take on Dream City Christian in the title game at 7:30pm tonight in Chicago. The two teams have met twice before this season with Prolific Prep beating Dream City 87-80 in Denver and then beating them again 83-78 in Crush in the Valley January 20th.

Derrion Reid was the MVP of the game for Prolific Prep with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Mikey Lewis had 17 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Crew. The win improved coach Ryan Bernardi’s team to 32-5 on the season with a record of 19-0 in Grind Session play. 

Prolific Prep is trying to go back to back with Grind Session Championships and increase their Grind Session titles to three. The first championship was in 2020 with now Houston Rocket Jalen Green, Coleman Hawkins (Illinois), and Nimari Burnett (Michigan) leading the way to the trophy. Last seasons championship Crew were lead by McDonald’s All American Aden Holloway (Auburn), Yves Missi (Baylor), Trey Green (Xavier), and Michael Nwoko (Miami).

In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. From November to March over 300 action-packed games will be played. The Grind Session is more than just great games: it's an opportunity to prepare for the next chapter of your basketball career.
