Donda Academy was a short-lived private school founded by Kanye West, notable for its basketball program. The school, named after West's mother, operated from 2021 to early 2023 in California, first in Simi Valley and later in Chatsworth. The basketball team, known as the Donda Doves, initially attracted attention with players like Robert Dillingham and AJ Johnson.

2025 NBA Playoffs Feature 15 Grind Session Alumni Chasing the Title

The Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, one of the most coveted awards in American sports, is the culmination of the NBA playoffs. Over the next two months, 16 teams and more than 200 players will battle for the trophy. This year, 15 former Grind Session stars across 10 different teams are among those looking to lift the championship hardware in June. Four of those teams have multiple Grind Session alumni on their postseason rosters, led by a trio of alumni on the Denver Nuggets. The Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Minesota Timberwolves feature two Grind Session products apiece.

Grind Session is the first-ever winter circuit of elite high school basketball events. In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. From November to March over 400 action-packed games will be played. Grind Session is more than just great games: it's an opportunity to prepare for the next chapter of your basketball career.
