Banchero Shines in Loss to Celtics
Paulo Banchero, the former BFL Prep standout and 2021 Grind Session finalist, led the Orlando Magic with a monster performance in Game 1 of their first-round series against the reigning champion Boston Celtics. The second-year forward dropped 36 points and hauled in 11 rebounds Sunday afternoon at TD Garden, putting his elite scoring ability and physicality on full display. Despite his efforts, the Magic fell short, losing 103–86 after being outscored 30–18 in a pivotal third quarter.
After an intense 82-game regular season, the NBA Playoffs are set to begin tomorrow with the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, kicking off what promises to be another unforgettable postseason. From April 15th to the Finals beginning on June 5th, all eyes will be on the hardwood as 20 teams begin their quest for the NBA’s ultimate prize.
Will the Boston Celtics repeat and add another title to their storied legacy? Can LeBron James guide the Los Angeles Lakers to their 18th championship? Will a hungry franchise like the Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, or LA Clippers raise their first-ever banner? Or could one of the eight Play-In teams rise from the shadows to shock the world?
