Dream City Christian High School Glendale Arizona – The second day of action at the Phoenix event delivered intense matchups, incredible individual performances, and a blowout victory to start the day. Here's a recap of the day's games:

Taylor Made Prep vs. Albuquerque Prep

Final Score: Albuquerque Prep 100, Taylor Made Prep 53

The first game was a dominant performance by Albuquerque Prep, who overwhelmed Taylor Made Prep with a relentless offensive attack. Albuquerque had four players in double figures, showcasing their depth and balance.

Standout Performers

Caden Miller (Freshman) led the way with 21 points. 

Christian Gilliland added 18 points.

Brandon Mason Jr. and Evan Nanez chipped in with 17 points each.

Taylor Made struggled to keep up, with senior Rout Tang from Goodyear, Arizona, contributing 13 points in the loss.

Colorado Prep vs. Bella Vista Prep

Final Score: Bella Vista 76, Colorado Prep 73

This tightly contested game saw Bella Vista edge out Colorado Prep in a nail-biting finish. Bella Vista maintained the lead at the end of each quarter, going into halftime ahead 41-31.

Key Players

Don Tinsley (6’3” senior) led Bella Vista with 29 points, hitting six 3-pointers and spearheading their offense.

Josiah Sanders, a Colorado commit, put on an incredible performance with 35 points for Colorado Prep in the loss.

Legion Prep (Women) vs. Dream City Christian (Women)

Final Score: Legion Prep 110, Dream City Christian 48

Legion Prep dominated from the opening whistle, imposing their will on both ends of the floor. Their suffocating defense forced countless turnovers, which they converted into easy transition points.

Top Performers for Legion Prep

Kamora Pruitt (#25 ESPN Top 100) scored 22 points.

Rieyan DeSouze (#36 ESPN Top 100) added 17 points.

Dream City’s standout was Emma Slack, a 2024 Grind Session All-Star, who tallied 20 points, including six 3-pointers, despite the loss.

ABC Prep (Women) vs. Phoenix Prep (Women)

Final Score: Phoenix Prep 91, Albuquerque Prep 60

Phoenix Prep put on a clinic in this Revolution Conference matchup, outplaying ABC Prep with stellar defense and ball movement.

Phoenix Prep Stars

Dylan Swindle (Cal State Fullerton commit) led with 23 points. 

Caia Campbell, a 5’9” sophomore, added 21 points.

For Albuquerque PrepBella Hines scored a game-high 26 points, and sophomore Lilian Bryant was right behind with 25 points in the loss.

Accelerated Prep vs. Royal Crown

Final Score: Royal Crown 82, Accelerated Prep 78 (OT)

The Power Conference showdown was a thrilling back-and-forth battle that ended in overtime, with Royal Crown edging out Accelerated Prep in a nail-biter.

Royal Crown Leaders

Xavier Istomin-Monroe (Senior, Sydney, Australia) scored 22 points.

Kymani Walters and Yann Aphely contributed 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Accelerated Prep was led by Xaviel Rodriguez, who scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Kourouma Mohamed, a freshman from Guinea, who also added 15 points.

In past seasons, our teams have played in some of the greatest and most unique cities across the U.S., as well as Canada, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico.
